I’m breaking bad, a little, deviating from the AMA story to brag on some photos that just came into my life via a Christmas gift. My iphone has taken some fabulous pictures, but has no macro setting, so wished for and received a little microscope camera that hooks up to my lap top. It’s a lot of fun to play with.

The trichomes are quite evident, even though the photos are not the highest quality, (microscope is an inexpensive one). They are the clear, mushroom shaped nubs that can be found on every part if the plant, but are more concentrated on the flowers. These trichomes carry, scent and cannabinoids in their glistening little selves. Our curing went well by the looks of it, because the trichomes haven’t fallen off. They are very sticky to the touch. Trichome will fall off eventually if roughed up, and usually collect in the bottom of the container they are kept is. Some people call this kief, and it’s what hashish, or hash, is made from. I’ll try and get a close up of a pile of kief next. Enjoy these photos.
